Since its foundation in 1991, the University of Potsdam (UP) has firmly established itself in the academic landscape. With around 20,000 students, UP is the largest university in the federal state of Brandenburg. The university is comprised of seven faculties: the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Human Sciences, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Digital Engineering, and the Faculty of Health Sciences. UP has grown from a small institution of higher education to become one of the leading medium-sized universities in Germany. Throughout the years, the university has gained extensive experience in managing EU projects, having participated in over 60 Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects to date. Furthermore, UP is currently participating in three MSCA Doctoral Networks as a partner institution. By implementing the “European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers”, UP is committed to providing an attractive and stimulating working environment for researchers from Germany and abroad. Since 2016, the university has held the European Commission's "Human Resources Excellence in Research" (HRS4R) quality seal.
